The Order exists to keep the bond between comrades alive long after the uniform has been put away.
To become part of M.O.T.H. Namibia is to become part of a tradition built around people who understand service, sacrifice and comradeship. Through the Shellhole network, members have a place to meet, remember, support one another and preserve the history of those who came before them.
What Membership Means
M.O.T.H. membership is built around the principles that have shaped the Order throughout its history.
Comradeship
Building and maintaining genuine bonds between comrades, regardless of rank, background or circumstance.
Mutual Help
Looking after fellow comrades and contributing to a community where people do not have to face difficult times alone.
Remembrance
Keeping alive the names, stories and sacrifices of those who have answered the final Sunset Call.
Membership Requirements
Before applying for membership, prospective recruits should understand the constitutional procedure governing admission to the Order.
“A potential recruit who is eligible to join the Order under sub-paragraph 11.4. shall be required to attend a minimum of two meetings before becoming a member. His application form, CHQ1, shall be motivated by a Shellhole Old Bill before submission to the National Executive Committee.”

The application process follows the requirements set out in the M.O.T.H. Constitution.

Attend Meetings
A potential recruit is required to attend a minimum of two meetings before becoming a member.

Shellhole Motivation
The application is to be motivated by a Shellhole Old Bill before submission to the National Executive Committee.

The Order provides a place for veterans and former servicemen to maintain the friendships and traditions created through service.
Families & Comrades
The M.O.T.H. tradition also reaches beyond the individual member. Families, supporters and the wider veteran community form an important part of preserving remembrance.
